Hold Your Own Gaze

WHOLEHEARTED WEDNESDAY
For this Wholehearted Wednesday, try something simple.
Stand in front of the mirror and look into your own eyes for five full seconds. Not a quick glance. Five steady seconds.
Then say softly, "I'm doing the best I can.”
Let your heart actually hear it.
We’re often patient with everyone else. We understand their stress, their limits, their humanity. But when it comes to ourselves, the voice can be sharper.
Holding your own gaze may feel uncomfortable at first. You might notice the urge to look away. Stay. When you say those words sincerely, the pressure to be better, faster, or more begins to ease. Your shoulders drop. Your breath deepens. The inner criticism loses some of its grip.
When we choose kindness for ourselves and others, wholeheartedness grows. Compassion within your true home.
A QUOTE TO CONTEMPLATE TODAY
