Step Back and Observe

MINDFUL MONDAY
Sometimes a moment grips you before you realize it. A conversation lingers in your mind. Your body tightens. The same thought circles again. It can feel personal and all-consuming.
For this week’s Mindful Monday, try a simple inquiry.
When a strong emotion or persistent thought arises, pause and silently ask: “Who is experiencing this?”
Let the question create space.
The feeling is present. The thought is present. And there is also the awareness noticing both.
That subtle shift — from being immersed to becoming the observer — steadies something deeper within you. The emotion may still move through, but you are no longer completely identified with it.
This is the practice of remembering who you are beyond what passes through you.
Return to the one who notices.
And notice how everything begins to soften.
